What it is

A serious-RP city with a zombie problem

Five-oMaha is a custom, Omaha-flavoured city for GTA V roleplay on FiveM. Make a character, get a job, stay out of trouble (or don't), and watch the outbreak creep closer.

  • Jobs & a real economy

    Built on the Qbox framework. Work as a trucker, tow driver, garbage crew, mechanic or medic, get paid into your bank account, and spend it around the city. Your phone keeps you connected.

  • Dealerships & auto shops

    Buy a car at the dealership, keep it in your garage, fuel it up, and take it to a mechanic when you wreck it.

  • Police: players and AI

    Join the force as a player cop, or stay on the other side of the law. AI police patrol the streets as well, so the city is never lawless.

    A zombie plague is spreading through the city. Across the river, a quarantined dead zone where the infected have taken over.

Honest note: this is an early test for friends, not a finished server. Things will break, the server restarts while we build, and features arrive as they're ready. Tell the host what you find.

How to join

From zero to in the city

Six steps on a Windows PC. Most of the time is downloading, so start step 2 before dinner. Everything below links to official pages only.

  1. Step 1: Buy Grand Theft Auto V on Steam

    Steam now has two store pages for the PC game:

    Already own GTA V on Steam? Then you already have Legacy: skip to step 2. Prices change with sales, so check the store page.

  2. Step 2: Install the Legacy edition (not Enhanced)

    ≈125 GB download

    Our server runs on FiveM for GTA V Legacy (game build 3258), so Enhanced won't work here. In your Steam Library find Grand Theft Auto V Legacy and click Install.

    • Disk space: Steam lists 125 GB for Legacy. Keep about 15 GB more free for our city download (step 6). An SSD makes loading much faster.
    • First launch: press Play in Steam. The Rockstar Games Launcher installs and opens; sign in with your Rockstar Games account (or create one for free) and confirm the email. This links your Steam and Rockstar accounts. Rockstar help(opens in a new tab)
    • Play Story Mode once: let it load all the way into the game, then quit. That finishes the first-time setup so FiveM starts cleanly.

  3. Step 3: Install FiveM

    Go to fivem.net(opens in a new tab) and click Download FiveM, the one marked “Requires Grand Theft Auto V Legacy”. Skip “FiveM for GTAV Enhanced”: that is a separate early-access app for the other edition.

    • Run FiveM.exe. It installs itself (to %localappdata%\FiveM) and adds FiveM to your Start menu.
    • When it asks where the game is, choose GTA5.exe in your Legacy folder. Not sure where that is? In Steam, right-click Grand Theft Auto V Legacy, then Manage, then Browse local files.
    • Let it “update local game data”. The first time takes several minutes.
    • Accept the Terms of Service and sign in with a free Cfx.re account when the window pops up. The official guide says not to skip this, so we recommend it. Official install guide(opens in a new tab)

  4. Step 4: Connect to Five-oMaha

    Pick whichever is easiest:

    • One click: Launch FiveM & connect. FiveM must be installed; your browser asks before it opens the app.
    • Console: open FiveM, press F8, type connect 88.214.59.207:30208 and press Enter.
    • Menu: in FiveM click Play, then Direct Connect, paste 88.214.59.207:30208 and connect.

  5. Step 5: Enter the server password

    While you connect, a password box appears. Type the password the host gave you. It isn't posted anywhere, so ask the host privately, and please don't share it. Got it wrong? Just connect again.

  6. Step 6: Wait for the city to download (first time only)

    ≈13 GB, once

    The first join downloads about 13 GB of map data: our buildings, roads and textures. Stay on the loading screen and let it finish; how long depends on your internet. It's saved on your PC, so every join after that is quick.

If something goes wrong

FiveM restarts itself or downloads more files the first time
Normal. The server uses game build 3258, and FiveM fetches what it needs for that build and may restart once. Let it finish.
It crashes or gets stuck at the same point
Close FiveM, press Win+R, open %localappdata%\FiveM\FiveM.app\data and delete the cache folder. Leave game-storage alone. Deleting the server-cache folders as well makes the 13 GB download run again, so only do that if the host asks.
Your antivirus flags FiveM
Only ever use the FiveM you downloaded from fivem.net. If your antivirus blocks that file, it's usually a false alarm: check FiveM client issues(opens in a new tab) or Cfx.re support(opens in a new tab). Never download “fixes” from anywhere else.
It says the game is the wrong edition or won't start
Make sure FiveM points at GTA5.exe in the Legacy folder, not Enhanced, and that Legacy runs from Steam.
